CTHS Class of 2020 Seniors and Parents,

I hope each of you and your families are all doing well, staying safe and healthy, and enjoying some fun this summer.

As you know, our district is committed to honoring our seniors with a graduation ceremony. Our seniors have worked hard and earned the recognition that comes with a graduation ceremony. We know this is an important evening for students and families and we are planning something extra special.

The ongoing spread of the COVID-19 virus and its associated circumstances have led our district to make a change in the date, time, and location of your graduation ceremony.

We will now celebrate with our seniors and families at the CTHS Senior Class of 2020 graduation ceremony on Tuesday, July 28 at 8:30 p.m. at the P.I.S.D. Veterans’ Memorial Stadium located at 2906 Dabney Drive in Pasadena. We will not have a graduation practice as current restrictions only allow us to gather one time.

Students will be responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the stadium and will report directly to the stadium that evening at 7:00 p.m. in appropriate graduation attire with cap, gown, tassel, cords, stoles, and medals. Students will be seated on the field with appropriate social distancing and will have to wear a face mask.

In order to follow state and local regulations and to keep everyone safe and healthy, this will be a ticketed event. A limited number of family and friends will be able to attend and will be seated in designated areas in the stadium bleachers. They will also have to follow social distancing rules and wear face coverings. We will share more details with you regarding the exact procedures and how we will distribute the tickets and parking information once those are developed by our district. For those who are not able to attend in person, the district will also have live streaming of the ceremony.

Please continue to check email, our campus website, and our campus social media for information. We will continue to share information with you as we receive it from our district.

We are looking forward to celebrating with you on Tuesday, July 28 at 8:30 p.m. so make plans now to attend!

Thank you,
Steven Fleming
Principal

Graduation Ceremony

Attention Pasadena ISD Seniors and Parents (updated as of 7/9/20),

Pasadena ISD was informed by NRG yesterday that their stadium would not meet the needs of our graduations due to time constraints and the number of graduations allowable per day with the additional disinfection requirements for NRG. Because of this, we will now host all Pasadena ISD graduations at Veterans Memorial Stadium.  More information to follow from your campus administration.
