The Dr. Kirk Lewis Career and Technical High School or CTHS for short, opened its doors in August of 2014. Planning for the campus began in 2009 through discussions with local business partners and community members. In 2011, after Pasadena ISD voters approved the $37.5 million bond initiative, planning for construction of the high school began. The school is named after Dr. Kirk Lewis, a former superintendent of Pasadena ISD schools. The school serves around 1,400 students in grades ninth through twelfth and provides them with a high school education, along with specialized training in their career field of choice.
